I've always wanted to make a short film. So far I've only had time to make the low-rez title sequence. Here it is without most of the titles as a 1 minute long movie which will require the windows media player and here as a Flash animation.. If I ever get time the end result will be about 12 minutes long. So far the story is written as are the storyboards. If anyone in the unusual position of a good knowledge of 3d software such as Maya, Max or the like and some time to spare and wants to help please get in touch. Or if someone just wants to nag me to get a move on do the same! |

I was recently delighted to be asked to produce some images for a set of elearning interactions. This was great fun to do as 3d software is really good at producing static images and the source files can then be reused to create other stage sets or in animations. Items within the sets can easily be moved, hidden merged and reused in other sets. Some of the more sophisticated objects in these scenes were grabbed or reused from other commercial or freeware sources. Many, usually the simple low resolution items and the environments themselves, were quickly made for the images. Most of the images only took in the region of 8 - 12 hours to produce. Here are some of the pictures:

Click on the thumbnails to see larger versions. Here is a rather silly 4 second long lowres avi (5Mb) moving the camera round the office. |

I had to play with Premier Elements. It is pretty good and well worth the money. If you are using FireFox this is the result of about 45 minutes of fitting a short rather pointless 5mb movie together out of other clips, mostly from the Doll Library title sequence. You will only be able to see it if you can see flv files. If you are using IE as a browser or the link above doesn't work download it here. |

Anyone want to be involved producing a funny short? The script, storyboard and most of the modelling have been done. When finished it will look like an old a black and white movie with sound track to match. If so get in touch via the contact menu. |
